Plug in your Z16F development board. Install the IDE. Make sure everything works. Try out the simple example from class or make your own. Make sure you can create a new project, enter your program source, compile it, download it to the evaluation board, and run the program. Turn in a screen captire (as a png file) of IDE window showing success. If you are having problems you need to resolve these soon, ask me in class or email me.

• Get the IDE from the Zilog download site. Get ZDS II - ZNEO 4.11.1 and the associated Documentation. Note that there are multiple prpoducts here, pick the right ones.
• Browse the online documentation and application notes.
• Get the ZNEO Z16F Series Flash Microcontroller Contest Kit User Manual. Its UM197 on the class files page. It is not included in the downloaded documentation package and is not available from the Zilog website anymore.
